Privacy Policy

weduu is a habit app made by a three-person team in Switzerland. This policy explains what the app stores, where it lives, and how you delete it. The short version: your data exists so the app works for you, it is never sold, never used for advertising, and you can erase all of it yourself.
Your account
- Anonymous accounts need no personal data at all. If you add an email later (or sign in with Apple or Google), we store that email to let you log back in.
- Your nickname is what circle members see — never your email.
What the app stores for you
- Habits, check-ins and streaks — the core of the app.
- Journal entries — text you write or dictate, and any voice recordings or photos you attach. Voice notes are transcribed to text; recordings and photos are stored privately and are visible only to you.
- Circles — the circles you join, your daily check-ins there, and short reminder messages you exchange with circle members. Circle members see your nickname, your plant-watering status, and messages you send them — nothing else.
- Feed preferences and interactions — which topics you picked and how you interact with insight cards (saved, skipped, made into a habit). We use this only to choose better cards for you and to understand which content works.
This data is stored with our database provider (Supabase) in the EU and protected by row-level security: each account can only ever read its own rows.
Apple Health (iOS app only)
If you connect Apple Health, the app reads workouts, mindful minutes, steps and sleep on your device only — to check in matching habits automatically and to show sleep and steps beside your journal. Raw health data never leaves your phone and is never uploaded to our servers. Disconnect any time in Settings, or revoke access in the iOS Health app.
What we don't do
- No selling or sharing of personal data with third parties.
- No advertising, ad tracking, or cross-app profiles.
- Only privacy-friendly, cookieless page analytics (Vercel Analytics) on the website — no cookies, no cross-site tracking.
The website waitlist
If you left your email on our website for early access, we store that address and basic referral information (which link brought you here) to send you an invite and understand which channels work. Email privacy@weduu.app to be removed.
Deleting your data
Settings → Delete my account permanently removes your account, habits, streaks, journal entries (including voice recordings and photos), circle history and feed interactions. There is no grace period and no backup copy we keep. You can also email us and we will delete it for you.
